Project objectives: Smart farming via GPS, soil scanning, data management, and IoT technologies could help attain the EU goal of ameliorating the quantity and quality of farming production. The EU-funded DEMETER is a large-scale project deployed in 18 countries, 15 of which are EU member states. The project will analyse data obtained from a wide range of actors (production sectors and systems) to provide an integrated interoperable data model enabling optimal resource management in the European agri-food sector
Key technology involved: Cloud services, GIS and GIS-enabled DB, IoT, containerization with Docker, Blockchain, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, distributed platforms
Ro Technology output/expected output: A milk traceability system in Pilot 4.2 including data elaboration and encryption components, and a dedicated dashboard for the consumer in order to visualize the milk supply-chain in an user-friendly environment
